there will be a few clouds, hagerstown and leesburg. that's it. there is no green blobs anywhere. we'll put this back into motion. no problem. a couple of sprinkles possible maybe out in the shenandoah valley. but still nothing other than clouds east of that. now, by 6:15 we see a few showers. these are green. these are light. winchester, manassas. back to the west, though, this is a line of showers and storms we're seeing develop from cumberland northward. and right now most of the computer models are taking the dynamics a little further north of town. that said maybe we get a showers and storms by about this time tomorrow. it's going to be a tomorrow night event rather than a day event. you still need your sunglasses tomorrow morning. morning commute dry. and i think most of the evening commute will be dry as well. storms possible between about 7:00 p.m. and about midnight, personally north and west of -- especially north and west of town. overnight breezy and mild. low temperatures 46-54. tomorrow morning we're in pretty good shape. partly sunny. 40s and 50s. maybe a light jack

here's the temperature look right now. 46 degrees in leesburg and manassas. it's 48 in andrews air force base. we do have a couple 50s still lingering out here in d.c. and also annapolis at 56 degrees at the moment. so these temperatures are still milder than they were at this time yesterday. satellite and radar shows the cold front that's on the way. some severe weather in the southern plains today. i don't think we'll see severe weather, but we could see a thunderstorm as this cold front makes its way toward us. as i mentioned before, as it moves this way, we will see a mild push of air in front of that approaching cold front. and then we'll have to deal with the rain as we head into monday. so enjoy the nice weather tomorrow while you can. overnight tonight, it will be clear and not as cold with a low of 38 degrees in suburbs and 48 downtown. sunday morning looks good. mostly sunny but chilly with temperatures in the 40s and 50s. south/southwest winds at 10-20 miles per hour sunday afternoon. a few clouds out there. will be much milder. 65 to 73 for your h

in leesburg, a 37 mile per hour wind gust. and a 34 mile per hour wind gust in hage rstown. -- in hagerstown. so the wind fields again, the orange is not what you want to see. eventually, we think this will move off to the north and west and encompass the western part of the metro area, and up to our friends in pennsylvania. and by 10 a.m., you still see the orange hanging around, and that finally lifts out during the afternoon. by 6 p.m., we still have a band, a pretty bake area of tropical storm force winds, and we can only take so much. even a 40-mile per hour wind by itself isn't so much. but it comes after winds that have been blowing for 1 to 2 day. that's a bit of a problem. the good news, by early wednesday morning, we will see the winds finally lift out, and by noon on halloween, we won't won't have any damagingen winds to worry about. maybe we can salvage halloween after all, if not, move it to saturday. we gain an hour this week. >> we like that plan. >> so they get two days off of school and halloween moved to the

same temperature in leesburg and manassas. 67 in patuxent river. 64 in eston. mild through out the entire area but a cold front on the way will bring an end to that. you can see how the thunderstorms and showers are in a thin line. we're not expecting an all-day dreary kind of event here. we'll see on and off showers and the potential for a thunderstorm. we're going to keep it dry through the overnight hours but we will see an increase in cloud over. the monday morning rush hour starts off fine but then more showers move toward us from the west. you can see we really fill things in here in hagerstown and frederick. the ride along 66 coming into town might be a little bit drizzly as you're heading through the morning hours. by lunchtime, the bulk of the rain is basically aligned with the d.c. metro and points north and east and then down towards fredericksburg, we'll see some of those showers, maybe even embedded thunderstorms here as the cold front continues to sweep to the south and southeast. so those cold fronts -- sorry, so those thunderstorms along with th
